 Abstract:
Open data initiative is just starting in Mongolia by accelerating smart governance and smart city projects. In this seminar, we will address three aspects of open data development in Mongolia: progress, legal, and organizational issues. Currently, we are introducing open data to governmental officials and public organizations through local conferences, meetings and seminars. The problematic issues for the governmental and public organisations are understanding how to use this data, as well as the concerns of misusing it.  Fortunately, we have positive legal environment to publish increasingly available government data. But most of data is held in very sophisticated databases and/or in various formats.
