Abstract:
A short introduction to digital evidence and digital forensics.

About the Speaker:
Antonio Barili earned his laurea degree cum laude in Electronic Engineering in 1984 from the University of Pavia. After ten years in the automotive and defense (aerospace) industry, he became a researcher at the University of Pavia. He founded and currently runs the Digital Forensic Laboratory (a node of CINI CyberSecurity National Lab). As an expert witness, he served in many criminal cases, some of which - like the Garlasco Murder - widely covered in the news. His research interests include digital evidence acquisition and evaluation, digital forensic methods, and digital investigation.
