Location: Room Tognoli, Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico “Fabio Ferrari”, via Sommarive 5 - Povo (Trento)

The University of Trento, which collaborated with IBM to the Jeopardy! Grand Challenge is now focusing on generalizing the many technological innovations of IBM and NLP community, thus developing the proposed Deep NLP technology. The latter allows accomplishing many different and difficult cognitive tasks, Watson is nowadays called to accomplish.
For this research the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Trento has been again selected for a new IBM Faculty award, which will be illustrated by prof. Alessandro Moschitti.
Additionally, future developments using deep neural networks, which have been successfully used in most NLP models, will be demonstrated by Prof. Hinrich Schutze, well-known for his outstanding research in NLP. Finally, a technical and enterprise application perspective for Conversational Systems will be provided by IBM Fellow Dr. David Nahamoo.
