Mountain-eering Srl, the first Trento achieved a great goal: it became an autonomous company.
After the supporting period, the University transferred its shares to the young members of the company. They will not go on autonomously with their activities.
Riccardo Rigon, Professor at the Department of Civil, environmental and mechanic engineering expressed his satisfaction: “Mountain-eering has been the first spin-off of the University of Trento. I was one of the founding professors. Now it is a mature body, capable to work autonomously”.
Matteo Dall’Amico, director and founding member of the company, together with the engineers Silvia Simoni and Fabrizio Zanotti commented, by saying “The transfer of the University shares to the company members is a great success: the spin-off has been growing for five years and it is now able to work autonomously”.
Mountain-eering, whose name stands for Mountain and engineering, is a technology company of the TIS - the Techno Innovation South Tyrol of Bozen, has two offices, in Trento and in Bozen. It started its activity as a company willing to provide technology and services devoted to the mountain.
The analysis of hydro-geological risks and safety is among its activities. They offer specialized consulting services regarding the analysis of environmental risks connected to the snow/water in mountain areas and the study of the intervention measures through the development of specific mathematic models. The results are provided on papers and can be accessed online, for further analysis and processing.
