Prof. Sergio Zerbini, associate professor at the Department of Physics of the University of Trento, was nominated “Honorary Professor” by the Academic Council of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University

Prof. Sergio Zerbini’s scientific collaboration with TSPU started over twenty years ago. His research team refers to the theoretical physics laboratory at the Department of physics and started working with Prof. Sergei Odintsov from TSPU in 1992.

The collaboration, which continues today, has lead to many works that have been reported about in high impact factor scientific journals. Two of the above mentioned works, in particular, have been quoted over 200 times (data base web of Science ISI ). The main fields of research refer to theoretical physics of fundamental interactions with reference to cosmology. In particular, the violent initial acceleration of our universe (inflation) that occurred a few moments after the Big Bang, as well as the issue of the current acceleration of the universe (dark energy).
