The Paolo Borsellino Award to Andrea di Nicola

Andrea di Nicola, PhD and researcher in Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento, where he teaches criminology, will receive the national award "Paolo Borsellino" for his engagement for legality and justice and for his book "Confessioni di un trafficante di uomini" (Confessions of a trafficker of human beings, not translated into English yet), written with Giampaolo Musumeci and published by Chiarelettere.

The Awarding Ceremony will take place on 25 October in Pescara.

The Award has now reached its 19th edition. It was created by the Judge Antonino Caponnetto in 1992, who has been its Chair until 2002.
In the past, the recognition has been awarded to significant people: the Magistrates Scaripinato, Caselli, Davigo, Gratteri, Vigna, Grasso, Roberti (the current Italian National Public Prosecutor Anti Mafia); university professors, such as Dalla Chiesa; politicians, including Ciampi, Napolitano, Lumia, Ambrosoli, Veltroni; journalists active in the field of culture, such as Gomez, Mondanelli, Biagi, Bocca, Saviano, Fo, Jannacci, Gaber.
