Aronne Armanini is the new Deputy Rector

Versione stampabile

The Rector Daria de Pretis, following her appointment as a judge of the Constitutional Court on 18 October, entrusted today  Professor Aronne Armanini with the functions of Deputy Pro-rector.

Professor Armanini, pro-rector for the evaluation processes and member of the Academic Senate, will replace Professor Paolo Collini, until the new Rector is elected.

The decision was transmitted by the Rector with a short message addressed to the whole University community:

“Dear Colleagues, dear members of our academic community, in view of my upcoming resignation, due to my appointment as a judge of the Constitutional Court, I agreed with professor Paolo Collini that an ineligible member of the Academic Senate shall be in charge of the duties of the Deputy Rector, as professor was Collini until today, for the period preceding the election of the new Rector. I therefore entrusted Professor Aronne Armanini, who is already pro-rector for the evaluation processes and member of the Academic Senate with the longest period of service”.

Professor Armanini is a full professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanic engineering and Director of CUDAM (University Centre for Advanced Studies on Hydrogeological Risk in Mountain Areas) has had various institutional roles. He was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (October 1996 - November 2002) and he is currently pro-rector for the evaluation processes and member of the Academic Senate.
