Open Access concerns the scientific and research literature made available by the authors in digital format, online, permanently, and free of charge and from most of the limits due to the commercial use licenses and copyright.
The University of Trento has been engaged in the promotion and implementation of the Open Access principle since 2002.
The Italian Law 29 January 2014 on policy on the open access to scientific literature, aimed at the implementation of the European legal norms (Recommendation of 2012, ERC, Horizon 2020) and Italian legal norms (Law no. 112/2013). Consequently the University of Trento decided to create a dedicated website for Open Access.
The website will be a useful tool to support professors, researchers, employees and PhD students who are involved in research activities/projects, providing for practicalities and information on Open Access, its advantages and the available tools to transmit and spread the results of research without useless restrictions. At the same time, the website is a useful resource for the bibliographic research of UniTrento students, a source of information for citizens and companies interested in knowing the results of the academic research carried out at UniTrento.
