LISA: the quietest place in the universe

Versione stampabile

Almost six months after the European Space Agency (ESA) gave its green light to LISA mission scheduled for 2034, the final results from LISA Pathfinder have been published Physical Review Letters.

This is a very positive result for the experimental project that set off to establish the feasibility of a first space-borne gravitational wave observatory.

The results of LISA Pathfinder confirm that LISA mission can be achieved: by reducing all noises it is possible to “hear” gravitational waves from deep space.
