Il Sole 24 Ore: The University of Trento among the best universities

The University of Trento confirms its ability to attract students and resources

The University of Trento earns the second place in the general ranking results of the Italian State universities, as well as in the research category. This are the news from the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.

The rector, Paolo Collini, comments: «The habitual presence of the University of Trento at the top of the rankings, is the strongest proof of the quality of our University, beyond the natural variations from year to year and the quality of each single ranking».

The main strong points are the high percentage of students enrolled from outside the Trentino region (indicator “Attractiveness”), the number of suitable students that received a scholarships (“Grants”), the positive percentage of credits achieved by the Trento students abroad compared to the total (“International Mobility”), the extremely positive judgements received by the research production (“Research”), the ability of our professors to attract resources for research projects (“External fundings”).

Last year the University of Trento ranked of equal merit as the University of Verona, with a score of 84. This year Trento is second with 83 points.

The methodology used  for the rankings is based on 9 indicators for teaching and 3 for research.
