The cooperation among the universities of Trento, Bolzano-Bozen and Innsbruck is the key driving force for the development of Euregio.
In August 2013 during the European Forum in Alpbach, within the “Tyrol Day”, the agreement among the three universities was signed. The objective is to achieve a euro-regional collaboration in the field of research and education.
During the media festival in June 2014 the three universities established joint courses and prepared joint research projects, together with the mobility of researchers, professors and students.
“All together they constitute an important network of knowledge along the axis Trento-Bolzano/Bozen-Innsbruck. This network allows us to take advantage of our synergies, for the benefit of everyone”. Daria de Pretis, has strongly encouraged the development of the inter-regional cooperation among these three universities, since the very start of her office as Rector of the University of Trento.
This is the reason why she was chosen as “Euregio character of the month”.
