Faculty of Law: first two graduates Transnational Law Program Italy/USA

Giovanni Bianchetti and Matteo D’Agostini are the first two graduates in the TLP - Transnational Law Program

They graduated on 10 December 2014 at the Faculty of Law, obtaining the double degree: the degree in Law at the University of Trento and the Master of Science in Law at the Washington University School of Law (WUSOL) di St. Louis (Missouri, USA).

They can now access the labour market thanks to their sound international education and the opportunity to work as lawyers in Italy and in the states of New York, Missouri and in other US states. 

After their successful university studies, they now aim at working at international level.

Giovanni Bianchetti defended his thesis on the connections between propaganda and hate, mass and international crimes (Words that poison the mind: the crucial role of hate propaganda in the perpetration of international crimes), supervised by the referee Giuseppe Nesi, Head of the Faculty of Law. 
Bianchetti spent 18 months at the Washington University of St. Louis (Missouri) and was granted an Atlantis scholarship amounting to 12 thousand Euro and a scholarship of the University of Trento, amounting to 3,500 Euro), as well as various awards by the WUSOL, like the "Best Advocate Award”. He also had the opportunity to spend a significant experience at the International Court for Rwanda.

Matteo D’Agostini graduated with a dissertation on the international arbitration procedure in Southeast Asia (Investment treaty arbitration in Southeast Asia: legal framework, practice and prospects) and his referee was Professor Ignazio Castellucci. He also spent 18 months at the Washington University of St. Louis (WUSOL) and was granted the scholarships Atlantis/Trento and was awarded various prizes by WUSOL. He completed his curriculum with an internship in South Africa and as a visiting student in Singapore.
