3rd CIMeC DS Day

On the afternoon of 26 September CIMeC will host its third annual "DS Day" (Doctoral School Day).

The objective of the event is two-fold: to provide an outlet for PhD students to present their research projects to CIMeC, and to promote dialogue between researchers in the different fields represented in our school.

The students selected by the DS Day committee to give a 20-minute oral presentation on DS Day to CIMeC faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and Master’s students, in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Istruzione are:

Four speakers have been chosen for the oral presentations that will take place in the Aula Magna ofPalazzo Istruzione. The schedule is as follows:
 
14:00 - 14:20          Vânia de Aguiar, Does tDCS enhance item-specific and generalization effects of linguistically motivated therapy?
14:20 - 14:40 Stefania Ficarella, The neurophysiology of internally driven actions
14:40- 15:00 Reshanne Reeder, “Brain sight” before eyesight
15:00 – 15:20 Adrià Rofes, Lexico-semantic dissociations in patients with brain tumors in the posterior temporal lobe
Each speaker will have 15 minutes to present, with the last 5 minutes of each talk reserved for questions. All other doctoral students will present posters starting at 15:30 in the Palazzo Fedrigotti garden. Students will present their posters in one of two sessions, from 15:30-16:30 or from 16:30-17:30. Refreshments will be provided.
 
All presentations (talks and posters) will be evaluated by CIMeC faculty and postdoctoral researchers, and the top three presenters will each receive 200 euros prize money. In the event of a 4-way (or more) tie, the prize money will be distributed accordingly.
