Global Dimension in Engineering Education (GDEE) - Block C

28 novembre 2014
January 12th - March 13th, 2015
Contatti:

Global Dimensions in Engineering Education (GDEE) is a Europaid-funded project run by a network of European Universities and Developmental NGOs in Spain, Italy and UK.
The University of Trento is partner of GDEE through the UNESCO Chair in Engineering for Human and Sustainable Development.
GDEE aims at increasing the competencies of academics in engineering, science and technology to integrate the principles of Sustainable Human Development into their teaching and research activities. This is done through several actions, among which a series of online courses will take place in 2014 and in 2015.

The courses are grouped in 3 Blocks (Block A, Block B and Block C), each including 3 small courses (1 ECTS each).

The third block (Block C) of online courses is about to start.

Block C - Integrating GDE into teaching and research

Courses are free and targeted to academics, researchers, post-docs, graduate students, who are teaching or aiming to teach in engineering, architecture, science and technology-based university courses. The courses are a unique learning and networking opportunity to gain or increase own experience in these cross-cutting areas. Courses material has been produced by experts in engineering education and development studies.

Block C is addressed to those academics (or professionals) who want to design a course relating Technology and SHD, from their own technical expertise, typically for postgraduate or other vocational degrees.

  • course 7: Integrating GDE into the academia (starting date January 12th, 2015)
  • course 8: Integrating GDE into teaching: theory and practice (starting date February 2th, 2015)
  • course 9: Integrating GDE into research (starting date February 23rd, 2015)

It is advised to take part to all the 3 courses in the same block, although also subscriptions to 1 or 2 courses will be considered.

Deadline for application: January 11th, 2015.

A detailed description of courses is available at the GDEE website
