Productivity and developing productivity is an important issue for every business, from small to large, because it is one of the ways to keep the business competive. The presentation talks about what is meant by productivity in a business environment, how to measure productivity, and what kind of "historical advances" we have seen in productivity.

Principles of LEAN management are discussed and the idea of LEAN is highlighted with some examples - discussion follows about why thinking about productivity and understanding what it means for companies is important also for researchers.
