The University of Trento, has co-financed the acquisition of new instrumentation of the Electron Microscopy (EM) Unit, which is part of the Laboratory of Micro & Structural Analysis of the Department of Industrial Engineering. The new set up is now open to reaserch.
The event is meant to illustrate the capabilities afforded by these new experimental tools:
- Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope;
- Cryogenic Ultramicrotome;
- Ion-mill and Ion Polisher.
These new pieces of equipment will strengthen the already existing set of available electron microscopes and sample preparation tools, so to provide an important support to the ongoing and future research Projects of the University of Trento, within national and international schemes.
After a short seminar, participants are invited to visit the laboratories of the Electron Microscopy Unit of the Department of Industrial Engineering:
