Guilherme Mariz de Oliveira Barra is Associate Professor at Mechanical Engineering Department from Federal University of Santa Catarina. He is graduated in Material Science and Engineering at Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil (1994). He has a master degree in Material Science and Engineering at Federal University of Santa Catarina (1997) and PhD degree in Polymer Science and Technology at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2001). The main aim of the research activity is to investigate the structure-properties relationships in intrinsically conducting polymers, polymer blends, composites and nanocomposites, with particular attention to their application of electromagnetic shielding materials, sensors and coatings for corrosion protection of metals.
