21 giugno 2019

Luogo: aula Piscopia - Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia, Palazzo Prodi, Via Tommaso Gar (TN)
Ora: 17.00

Since Edward Said’s Orientalism, postcolonial thinking has had major impact across disciplines. A prompt for transnational knowledges, it has placed imperialism at the heart of modern power—as a technology of harmfulness that calls forth corresponding objections. This theme establishes it as a contemporary philosophy of renunciation, with a unique proposal for uninjured life and non-injurious community. This seminar takes stock of pertinent field developments and focuses on the disciplinary potential of the concept of renunciation.
