Elizabeth Shove is Distinguished Professor of Sociology at Lancaster University and Fellow of the British Academy. She has written widely about everyday life, inconspicuous consumption, and the dynamics of social practice. She is currently co-director of the DEMAND (Dynamics of Energy, Mobility and Demand) Research Centre. Her recent research focuses on the relationship between social practices, technology, and environmental change, shedding light on how everyday routines and habits intertwine with larger societal trends.
