This talk analyses how music moves literally and metaphorically: the ways in which people, objects and information travel across locations, just as cultural practices as recognisable entities circulate along with meanings, competencies and embodied dispositions. Recently published as a book in the Routledge Advances in Ethnography series, this work contains a series of lessons and tales of interest to those seeking to follow their object of study through mobile ethnographic methods
