Abstract:

RNA editing by ADARs converts Adenosine to Inosine in coding and non-coding regions of RNA. In mammals, A to I editing is an essential process. Inosines can be recognized as Guanosines during translation but can also affect splicing and interfere with the sensing of viral RNAs.

The seminar will describe the regulation and functional consequences of adenosine deamination in the mouse.
