New frontiers in biology: multidisciplinary, quantitative and computational
10.00 am
Room A102 Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico F. Ferrari - Povo (TN) - via Sommarive 5
Four in-depth talks will be broadcasted live to present the key features of the new Master of Science Degree in Quantitative and Computational Biology, which will begin with 2016/17 academic year
The event is open to everyone. Students and graduates of a Bachelor of Science are particularly welcome.
The event will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
Four talks to reflect on quantitative and applied sciences from a multidisciplinary perspective: from biology to computer science, from chemistry to physics and mathematics. That’s how the University of Trento decided to present the new Master degree to the public, next Friday, 8 July, at 10.00 am, at the Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico “Fabio Ferrari” in Povo. The series of in-depth talks (available in live streaming) will explore the point of strenght of the new Master degree in Quantitative and Computational Biology, i.e. its multidisciplinary aspects. The deadline for application is July 20th and classes will begin in October. The new Master degree is designed to train professionals who can start a successful career in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, research centres and private and public laboratories. The Master degree will also prepare specialists who can manage the huge amount of genomic data that is available today and advance knowledge in the area of biomedicine.
