On 7 December, the Academic Senate approved the university policy on Open Science and also recognized the Open Science Committee as a University body.

The policy is the result of a year of work by a group made up of members of the Directorate of Research Services and Valorization, who have studied reference texts, prepared the documents to be shared with the delegates of departments and centres and, finally, drafted the final document.

The new policy is an achievement but, most of all, a starting point, because in 2023 work will start to create the operational regulations in the three thematic areas of Open Access and Archive, the University Publishing House (which opened in 1992), and Data and other Research Results.
