Museums as public spaces for social change
Innovation, regeneration and inclusion are key pillars for building resilient societies and economies that can promote sustainable development, social welfare and environmental protection, with the active involvement of citizens and for the benefit of people and territories. These challenges are the focus of the scientific debate at the 23rd International Management Conference (MIC). The same goals are pursued by the PNRR iNEST-Interconnected Northeast Innovation Ecosystem project's Spoke 6 on Tourism, Culture and Creative Industries and the project's cross-cutting Citizen Engagement activities.
Within this framework, the Symposium discusses the role of museums as public spaces that are catalysts for innovation, agents of cultural regeneration, and promoters of social inclusion, including through museum network projects with a territorial base but a global reach.
