Training for Teaching in Higher Education – FormID Seminars
FormID (competence centre for academic staff training and innovation in teaching methods) has organized a series of seminars aimed at encouraging the development of new methodologies for training students in higher education and stimulate a shared reflection on such methodologies.
Contents: The current evaluative parameters used by universities and European descriptors pertaining the goals of higher education put in relevance the need to recruit researchers that are both competent as scientists and as educators.
Seminar participants will be provided theoretical and practical instruments, as well as be encouraged to exchange ideas on the development of novel methods for teaching and training at University. Our goal is to stimulate a discussion around novel teaching methods and provide evidence-based and effective tools.
Recipients: The seminars are primarily aimed for recently hired staff at the University of Trento. We also welcome any researcher or professor at UniTrento interested in the initiative.
Seminar Lecturers: Claudia Cattani, Maria Micaela Coppola, Roberto Cubelli, Marco Dallari, Giuseppe Ritella, Elisabeth Julie Vargo, Paola Venuti, Enrico Zaninotto.
Time and Location: The seminars will be carried out at the Department of Economy and Management and at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, starting from the 15th of November 2018.
The seminars will be held in Italian but a translator will be available upon request for English speakers who need assistance with comprehension.
