Giornate di Studi Scientifici sul Linguaggio 2019

The second Giornate di Studi Scientifici sul Linguaggio meeting will be held in Rovereto the 11 and 12 of February 2019. The event aims to periodically bring together scientists that, starting from different backgrounds, work on language from a scientific prespective.
The goal of the meeting is to foster the discussion and the networking between linguists, psichologists, neurologists and computational scientists that work on language at the national level or that work on Italian language. During the event there will be a round table aimed at discussing the current status and the future directions of the education about scientific studies on language: «From linguistics to neuroscience through computational and psychology. How to build an interdisciplinary education».
The event is promoted by a group of researchers that provide a web site and a mailing list managed by Davide Crepaldi (SISSA), Francesca Franzon (SISSA) and Chiara Zanini (Universität Zürich). These tools aim to constantly and timely aid the sharing of resources and enterprises of interest for the community.
This year organization is handled by Ermenegildo Bidese (Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia), Aurelie Heberot (CIMeC) and Francesco Vespignani (DiPSCo), within the Centro Studi sul Linguaggio, a project funded under the Staregic Plan of the University of Trento 2017-2021.

How to reach us
The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences is located in Rovereto, a city with a population of about 37000 inhabitants, in the Vallagarina valley, southern Trentino, 25 km south of Trento.
Palazzo Piomarta is located in Corso Bettini 84, near the historic center of the town, in front of the MART (Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea).

You can reach Rovereto by the Verona/Brennero line (for timetables check the Trenitalia website).
From Rovereto Railstation you can reach the Department in 15 minutes walking.
By bus
In front of Rovereto Railstation you can use buses to reach us with lines no. 1, 5, 6 (departure line Piazzale Orsi - FS, arrive line Corso Bettini - MART). For further information about routes, timetables and connections, check the Trentino Trasporti website.

Rovereto is about 70 km from the Verona airport (Valerio Catullo), 175 Km from the Venice airport (Marco Polo), 225 Km from the Milano- Linate airport and 80 Km from Bolzano’s new airport.
