The first edition of CIBIO INCONTRA, an event that aims to bring together research and the local area and to open the Department's doors to those who support us and those who are curious about what we do.

The 2024 edition is dedicated to rare diseases and is an important opportunity to explore current research projects together, to meet researchers, including very young ones, and to discuss the results, challenges and prospects offered by research.

Although each of these diseases may affect only a few individuals in the world, an extremely large portion of the world's population (5%) is affected by these problems, most of which have a genetic origin. CIBIO INCONTRA is intended to be a meeting place to discuss science and the importance of research and to communicate the value of fundamental research, a step-by-step and participatory process that calls for the active collaboration of researchers, patients, caregivers, and stakeholders.  During CIBIO INCONTRA, the associations will actively participate in research projects they help support through donations.

CIBIO INCONTRA is open to anyone and everyone curious who wants to learn more about the world of research, who wants to learn more about rare diseases, and who wants to come and visit our Department!
