The Lectio Magistralis of prof. Valter D. Longo, professor of Biogerontology and Director of the Institute on Longevity, University of Southern California - Davis School of Gerontology, Los Angeles, USA, will open the first edition of the Alvise Comel Foundation Master Thesis Awards ceremony. 
Prof. Longo will talk about how a particular daily nutrition (Longevity Diet) and the Fasting Mimicking Diet regulate genes that affect aging, but also risk factors and diseases of aging, partly by activating alternative metabolic programs and partly by activating regenerative processes.
