ON WATER. Comprehending, designing, caring 

Two + one days of conference on water and its multiple forms, shapes, and atmosphere. Water as an essential element, space, and resource for planning, designing, and transforming cities, territories, landscapes, and communities. Water as a tangible element of connection but also an intangible and cultural heritage. The event offers a multidisciplinary and integrated perspective on how the water cycle can become a crucial element of innovative, sustainable, and sensitive practices, experiences, and design solutions to challenge contemporary transitions.

On Thursday 9, IASLA is invited to a preview event curated by Tsm|step, to encounter experiences in the Trentino region aimed at understanding, narrating, and experimenting with the “act of water” at different scales and design dimensions. 
Friday 10 and Saturday 11 are devoted to IASLA Conference 2023. On these days IASLA opens the discussion to an international perspective, through the participation of two international keynote speakers. Thematic sessions welcome a selection of young researchers’ positions (PhD in the second and third year and Postdoc who have discussed the thesis within 5 years) who present their works on water through experimental and applied research, historical and theoretical studies. 
IASLA Conference will close with a visit to the Giardino dei Ciucioi where landscape, infrastructure, architecture, and ruins merge in a unique place suspended between dream and reality.

Participation at the conference is open to the public and free of charge.

Accredited event for the Ordine degli Architetti Paesaggisti Pianificatori e Conservatori with recognition of 7 cfp for the day of 10/11 (attendance at least 80%), 3 cfp for the day of 11/11 and 1 cfp for the visit to the Giardino dei Ciucioi. Accredited event for the Ordine degli Ingegneri with recognition of cfp 3 cfp for the day of 10/11 and 3 cfp for the day of 11/11.
