Porous Inorganic Solids

Abstract

The course is intended for graduate students to provide basic information about highly porous materials, i.e., those having low relative density. Apart from the main material classes, including metals, ceramics, and polymers, specific material groups, such as polymer-derived ceramics and aerogels, will also be analyzed. Besides, students will be able to acquire scientific information on the different manufacturing processes for porous materials and their characterization techniques.
