Abstract

The presentation will cover the research activities currently being undertaken by the speaker and their group. These activities include fundamental research in machine learning for graph data, spatio-temporal modeling, and probabilistic approaches for uncertainty quantification and clustering. The focus will be on applications in energy analytics and remote sensing. The presentation will be conducted at a high level, aiming to identify common interests and foster potential collaborations with other researchers.

About the Speaker

Filippo Maria Bianchi is an Associate Professor at UiT the Arctic University of Norway at the Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics. He also holds an adjunction position as a senior researcher at NORCE Norwegian Research Center, within the Earth Observation group.
He is the vice-chair of the IEEE Task Force on Learning for Structured Data, a member of ELLIS, of the Northernmost Graph Machine Learning group, of the Graph Machine Learning Group in Lugano, and of the IEEE Task Force on Reservoir Computing. His research interests lie at the intersection between machine learning, dynamical systems, and complex networks.
