Abstract:
Recently, techniques borrowed from the machine learning community have been shown to help in solving quantum mechanical problems.
I will present the main results from two recent papers on this subject: https://arxiv.org/abs/1606.02318, presenting high-accuracy solutions to 1D and 2D spin systems and https://arxiv.org/abs/1703.05334, where a machine is taught to perform quantum-state tomography.
