Abstract

Chiral algebras were developed by Beilinson and Drinfeld in the algebraic setting in order to give a geometric approach to vertex algebras. I will present joint work with Dennis Borisov which develops this theory in the differentiable setting, giving a geometric approach to OPE in QFT. I will also show that using this approach we can construct non-perturbative examples of chiral algebras out of differentiable Deligne cohomology classes of Lie group.
