Abstract

I will explain how to use the theory of Balmer's spectra for non-symmetric triangulated categories for defining a new notion of non-commutative space that is richer than the one considered in literature. I then explain how to apply this new notion to the derived category of modules of a formal deformation quantization of a smooth manifold to give a definition of non-commutative Lorentzian manifold. As this is a work in progress (with Simone Murro and Matteo Capoferri) I cannot present applications of the theory but I will present the motivations and expectations we have about our work.
