BEC Seminar: Variational quantum simulation using non-Gaussian continuous-variable systems
In this talk, a will present a quantum simulation approach that harnesses continuous-variable systems within the realm of photonic hardware-inspired frameworks. Our primary focus is on simulating the static properties of ground states associated with Hamiltonians from infinite-dimensional systems, particularly those arising in quantum field theory. We will introduce a continuous-variable variational quantum eigensolver tailored for the state-of-the-art photonic technology and showcase its application in the investigation of ground state properties of the Bose–Hubbard model in 1+1 dimensions.
