EUREGIO seen by its railways stations

A summer school that wants to capture and amplify the daily life of the railway stations of the EUREGIO Tyrol-Alto Adige-Trentino region, collecting human stories and documenting social practices. We are interested in the historical and literary perspective on railway stations (typically from the Habsburg time), as they appear in novels and poems, but also in the new environmental meanings assumed by stations and railways. Once the emblem of modernity and the most advanced technological progress, they have become a possible symbol of a slower lifestyle and the eco-sustainable conversion of mobility.
