Abstract
The seminar focuses on the main geological characteristics of the inner planets in view of on-going and future missions. The ESA BepiColombo mission is exploring Mercury to decipher its peculiar geological evolution and to understand the past and active processes. Venus will be visited by three different missions (NASA Davinci and VERITAS, ESA EnVision) to understand the potential role of water in its past. More details will be provided for the Moon and Mars to highlight the role of the geological analysis for the In Situ Resource Utilisation (ISRU) to support future human outposts.
