UniTrento at the Family Festival

A conference on the metrics of quality of life took place today at Palazzo Prodi. The invited speakers talked about the impact of local public policies and of the quality of indicators, but also about how families and mothers in Trentino are coping with the pandemic

The University is participating in the Family Festival, that is currently taking place in Trento, with an in-depth study of the methods for measuring public policies. This afternoon's meeting at Palazzo Prodi focused, in particular, on the analysis of indicators of the quality of life: these are fundamental tools that help policymakers confirm or review processes and policies that are crucial for development and growth.
"This tenth edition of the Festival - commented rector Flavio Deflorian in a message for the opening event - provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the impact that current and future decisions, in the pandemic context, can have on communities and above all on individuals and families, which represents the most basic element of society. Searching for the decision-making tools that guide institutions, and assessing and measuring the impact of decisions taken, requires a very complex work in which the University is happy to be involved. Our hope is that public decisions can always be measured against the results of an open scientific debate for the good of the region and local communities".
