Versione stampabile

The successful candidates will enrol in the degree programmes in Medicine and Surgery and Dental Surgery and Prosthetics. 354 candidates, 30% of whom are not residing in Trentino, have indicated the University of Trento as their first choice, which says something about its appeal. The results will be online on 29 September, then the successful candidates will have four days to enrol

The appeal of a career in medicine remains strong. This explains why, this year too, so many students have applied to take the admission test for medicine and surgery, which includes the degree offered by the University of Trento. The national test takes place simultaneously all over Italy, with 593 applicants, including 17 who are interested in the degree in Dental Surgery and Prosthetics, who are sitting the test in Trento.

The location that has been chosen for the test is the Trento Fiere Cte compound in Via Briamasco, only a few steps away from the city centre.
354 students have indicated the University of Trento as their first choice in case of admission to the degree programme. 249 of them have taken the test in Trento, 105 in other locations all over Italy, which means that about 30% of the applications come from outside the region and that the University of Trento is very appealing.

In compliance with ministerial provisions, the University adopted appropriate safety measures and controls to avoid gatherings, and invited the candidates in three stages (at 10, 10.45 and 11.30).

Physical distancing was ensured at the entrance and during the test, with the test facility organized in 14 sectors (two of which were equipped for candidates with disabilities or SLD).

The test started at 13:00 and students had 100 minutes to complete it.

Months ago, the students taking the test registered on the website of Universitaly, where they could take an aptitude/capacity test and a mock admission tests with questions taken from past tests to assess their preparation. Then they also registered on the website of UniTrento to book their place. This year too, the Ministry considered it appropriate to limit travel: each candidate was invited to take the test in their province of residence or in the neighbouring province, regardless of their university of first choice. The candidates from South Tyrol could take the test in Trento.

The national test includes 4 questions on reading skills and general knowledge, 5 questions on logical reasoning and problems, 13 questions on physics and mathematics, 15 questions on chemistry and 23 questions on biology.

The results will be published online on the Universitaly website in the candidates' reserved area on 29 September. Successful students are required to enrol on Infostudenti on the website of the University of Trento within four days of the publication of results, or their place will be offered to other applicants. The places available at the University of Trento in the degree in Medicine and Surgery this year are 60. The student intake is limited, with universities deciding for their own.

For the new group of 60 students, classes are expected to start on 3 October at Palazzo Consolati in Trento, where they will join the second and third year students.
