Massimo Pellizzari awarded the William Johnson International Gold Medal

Massimo Pellizzari, associate professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering, was awarded the William Johnson International Gold Medal during the Advances in Materials and and Processing Technologies-AMPT conference.

The award, established in memory of Professor William Johnson DSc, by the members of the AMPT Steering Committee and his colleagues at UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology), is awarded in recognition of academic achievements in teaching and research.

The international gold medal is awarded to scholars who made significant contributions to materials processing research and teaching. 

Massimo Pellizzari is the first Italian to receive the William Johnson International Gold Medal.
