Applications are now open for the twelfth edition of the Euregio Young Researcher Award, sponsored by the Chambers of Commerce of Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino.
This year's theme will be "Energy in the Euregio region", and applicants are required to submit works focusing on sustainable energy security.
Applications are welcome from researchers under 35 (born after 19 August 1988) who can submit scientific contributions on the theme "Energy in the Euregio region".
Applicants must be from universities and research institutes of the Euregio region, or from the Euregio region but employed in world universities and research institutes.
The young researchers wishing to participate must submit their contributions in English by 15 May 2023 through the online application form.
The contributions must fall into one of the following research areas:
- Law, economics and social sciences;
- Natural sciences;
- Science and technology.
A jury led by Ulrike Tappeiner, president of the Free University of Bolzano, will select the best projects by 25 June 2023. The authors of the selected projects will be invited to present their work on Saturday 19 August 2023 on the occasion of the Tyrol Days at the European Forum in Alpbach.
The winning project will receive 5,000 euro. The second and third placed will receive 2,500 and 1,000 euro respectively.
The awarding ceremony will take place in Alpbach on Sunday 20 August 2023.
