Euregio Mobility Fund

Research, exchange and mobility projects for students and faculty of the universities of the Euregio will start in September

The sixth edition of the Euregio Mobility Fund, which promotes the cross-border exchange and circulation of students and faculty of the Universities of Bolzano, Innsbruck and Trento, is a great success.

In fact, the vice-rectors for teaching and learning of the three universities of the Euregio, Paola Venuti (University of Trento), Alex Weissensteiner (University of Bolzano), Bernhard Fügenschuh (University of Innsbruck), their academic coordinators and Elena Rado, as representative of the Tyrol, South Tyrol, Trentino European Region GECT, have examined and approved 25 mobility initiatives. 

The first collaborations will start at the beginning of the Academic Year 2023/24, and all of them are due to end by September 2024.

The initiatives are estimated to involve more than 800 students and a hundred faculty members in joint classes and seminars, summer and winter schools, study trips and blended mobility activities. 

The University of Trento is the leading institution in eight projects:

  • EUREGIO seen through its railway stations – Coordinator: Carlo Brentari
  • Education, Family and Employment over the Life Course – Coordinator: Stefani Scherer 
  • The Challenges of European Integration in Law and Practice: regional Perspectives and Beyond EU-Regio Law – Coordinator: Jens Woelk
  • Euregio School on Control Theory and Applications – Coordinator: Fabio Bagagiolo
  • Euregio Research Integrity Code – Coordinator: Lucia Busatta
  • Euregio Joint Computational Physics Initiative – Coordinator: Gianluca Lattanzi

The University of Trento also participates as a partner in fourteen other projects funded by the Euregio Mobility Fund.
