QS World University Rankings: UniTrento maintains its good position and reputation

The University of Trento ranks 9th among the 29 Italian Universities included in the world's best 500, and gets top positions among Italian Universities for its international faculty

The QS World University Rankings, published by Quacquarelli Symonds, one of the most renowned networks that monitor and assess university systems, confirms the quality and reputation of the University of Trento.

In the new QS 2018 international ranking published today, the University of Trento maintains the 9th position among the 29 Italian Universities included in the world's best 500, in the 441-450 group.

The results achieved by Trento are excellent and confirm the positive trend of the last years, with an increase in quality that earned it a position among the world’s best universities (in the top 1.7%). In particular, the University of Trento gets top positions among Italian Universities for its international faculty.

The ranking confirms the excellent visibility of scientific publications (with 59 normalized citations per Professor compared to a world average of 32.6), and the good reputation of its graduates in the business sector.

The ranking, led by the MIT, Stanford and Harvard, considers a number of qualitative parameters, and the different universities are defined on the basis of their size, year of establishment, public or private nature, commitment to research, and extension of their academic disciplines.
