eCrime and eSecurity: a memorandum of understanding between the University of Trento and Regione Puglia

A memorandum of understanding entitled “eSecurity – ICT for knowledge-based and predictive urban security” was signed on Tuesday, 26 September, by the President of Regione Puglia, Michele Emiliano, the Rector of the University of Trento, Paolo Collini, and the CEO of Intellegit, Giorgio Casoni. The purpose of this experimental project is to improve prevention policies in the area of urban security and citizen protection, to achieve a better and safer integrated security system.

eSecurity, that is the name of the new project, is coordinated by eCrime, the research group led by Andrea Di Nicola at the University of Trento.

This type of collaboration, which will be implemented in Puglia too thanks to the memorandum of understanding, has never been initiated before.
