COSBI, the Rovereto research centre hosted at Polo Manifattura, established by the University of Trento and Microsoft Research, has a new leadership.
Enrico Domenici, Professor at the University of Trento and at CIBIO since 2015, with a background in the pharmaceutical industry, has taken the helm from Corrado Priami, who has led the institution since 2005.
The Board of Directors of the research centre made the decision to appoint the new President and CEO on 30 November, having heard all members, in order to continue and boost the projects that have been started in recent years in the area of computational biology and, in particular, to strengthen the relationship with the industrial sector.
The new appointment takes place as Professor Priami moves to the University of Pisa. However, Professor Priami will continue to work with COSBI as Director of Research to maintain good relations with the centre’s many stakeholders.
