On Friday 19 July, on the Adamello glacier, representatives of the Network of sustainable universities, of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) and of the Italian glaciological committee signed the "Adamello Charter".

By signing the charter, these institutions affirmed their commitment to protect the climate and to work with civil society to fight global warming through education and training, research on sustainable development and awareness-raising campaigns.

The University of Trento, member of the Network of sustainable universities, was represented by professor Riccardo Rigon (Department of Civil, environmental and mechanical engineering), who gave a lecture on "Glaciers, sentinel for climate change", after the event.
