Trento Hub is looking for Global Shapers

A volunteering project with a high social impact inspired by the World Economic Forum

Versione stampabile

A youth community network based on an international project and encouraging intergenerational dialogue is coming to light in Trento  with the approval of the World Economic Forum (WEF): the “Global Shapers Trento Hub”.

Global Shapers are the new generation of leaders aged between 20 and 30

Global Shapers are organized in local hubs and the WEF has just approved the creation of the Trento chapter. Professor Nicola Pugno of the University of Trento played a key role in the creation of the new Trento hub, which will serve as a platform for action and a place to collect ideas for the local under 30 community, with roots in the region and global connections.

Other hubs in Italy are in Rome, Milan, Genova, Torino, Florence, Venice and Palermo, and the teams of global shapers in these cities work independently to design projects that can help their communities.

In every city Global Shapers organize themselves to propose initiatives that can provide for the needs of their community. The WEF provides an opportunity and a shared methodology, a theory of change.

Projects focus on cities, but may have an interdisciplinary, international and inter-generational approach.

The initiatives and objectives for the city of Trento will revolve around:

  • Climate & Environment;
  • Education & Employment;
  • Equity & Inclusion.

This is a grassroot network in which young generations are integrated in society and help design the future. The young applicants who will be chosen to be part of the Trento Hub will define projects and learn a collaborative method to work together in a team.

If you are between 20 and 30 and would like to be part of this volunteering project with a high social impact we invite you to submit your application to globalshapers.trento [at] gmail.com Attach your resume and a short cover letter.
