The University of Trento and GeCo, its Geography and cartography research centre, are doing their part to help manage the pandemic locally.
The mapping data of Trentino show that the situation in the two main cities of the region, Trento and Rovereto, is not as serious as the absolute numbers seem to suggest, while there is a higher geographical concentration of affected individuals in smaller villages.
The actions implemented in Trentino to fight Covid-19 have proven effective, as the number of tests that have been performed (30-40 every 1000 inhabitants).
