The energy, passion and commitment of young people who are only at the beginning of their research career are crucial in the fight against cancer.

To support them, the University of Trento with Fondazione Pezcoller and funding from the Fondo comune delle Casse rurali trentine established an additional research scholarship from the academic year 2020/2021 to explore the causes, mechanisms and possible treatments of tumors.

The scholarship will be named “Fondazione Pezcoller - Casse rurali trentine” scholarship.

The three parties, represented by Flavio Deflorian, deputy rector of the University, Enzo Galligioni, president of Fondazione Pezcoller, and Silvio Mucchi, president of the Fondo comune delle Casse rurali trentine, signed an agreement today at Palazzo Sardagna.

The scholarship of UniTrento is open for applications within cycle 36 of the doctorate in Biomolecular sciences and will give one student the opportunity to study and do research for three years from November 2020 at the Department of Cellular, Computational and Integrative Biology - CIBIO of the University of Trento.

The scholarship amounts to 75,000 euro.
