San Marino looks forward to collaborate with UniTrento

Versione stampabile

The Republic of San Marino has called upon the University of Trento to look into a series of institutional reforms.

The University is eager to take on the challenge and to make its expertise available.

To shape the partnership, Andrea Belluzzi, Secretary of State for Education and Culture (the equivalent of a minister of the Italian government), and a delegation of the Republic, met today with the Rector of the University of Trento, Paolo Collini, and with professor Giuseppe Nesi of the Faculty of Law at Palazzo Sardagna.

The meeting also served to discuss issues of common interest and to explore possible opportunities.

In particular, the Republic of San Marino is interested in collaborating with the University of Trento to design an institutional reform programme it aims to undertake, which would bring change while maintaining the historical roots of the State.

The University of Trento will help the Republic of San Marino with this task. Paolo Collini remembered that the University has a mission to support communities, and Giuseppe Nesi praised the European and transnational dimension of the Faculty of Law as an ideal place to start this type of collaborations.

As a first step, thematic work groups will be created with representatives of the University of Trento and the University of San Marino.
